This is by far my favorite way to prepare asparagus. They are just perfect every time and anyone I've ever served them to are surprised at how such a simple preparation is so delicious.
Ingredients
  • 1 bunch asparagus spears, bottoms snapped off
  • 3 T olive oil
  • salt & pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven's broiler on high and place rack about 6 inches from the heat source
  2. Put asparagus onto a cookie sheet
  3. Drizzle with olive oil, salt & pepper and toss
  4. Broil for 5 minutes and check; remove when tender but still crisp
